Kids in Maine carry around the trash for a week....
This was a great article and would make an excellent learning opportunity for all elementary aged kids with regards to helping to support a school's waste stream management and creating open pathways for talking about trash and lowering our carbon footprint!

Show your children this picture....
What could have been done to prevent this from happening? Something as simple as cutting and recycling these plastics rings could have altered the fate of this poor little guy.
